BIO

Idol Light is handmade in Philadelphia, PA and is the brainchild of Machele Nettles.  Machele obtained a BSID in Philadelphia where she enjoyed a very conceptual and environmentally driven program. Her work often deals with perception and the re-contextualization of objects. Machele is very interested in human behavior and innovation, and likes to design things that are more about the reaction to the product than the product itself.

Machele currently runs Idol Light and is a creative contractor for a variety of positions such as; concept design, eco design, design thinking, product development, creative direction, interior design, and photography. She is often hired for her unique approach to the design process, paired with her ability to define and materialize aesthetic visions.
